The idea of starting a traditional yoghurt focused concept came up with Deyvi’s inspiration from the Turkish culture, where he grew up before moving to London.
Having realised the lack of awareness for yoghurt in the UK, Deyvi decided to come up with different recipes on how to consume this potentially very tasty and nutritious product.
Mandira opened its doors in May 16th, 2017 in the back of top-notch supplier research, to bring the best quality food to Londoners. Our light-filled store in Covent Garden is mainly designed for take-away, while allowing seating space for 12 customers.
Having initially started as a Fresh Yoghurt Bar, Mandira, today serves a cafe-style menu inspired from the naturally-healthy Mediterranean cuisine.
While keeping our Covent Garden store as the flagship cafe, Simit by Mandira pop-up opened in April 2018 in Old Spitalfields Market, as a result of high demand for our freshly baked Simit creations.
